Celebrating the life of Louise Sadielane Perry Allen.

WHEREAS, Louise Sadielane Perry Allen, a passionate educator in Hampton Roads, died on July 30, 2015; and

WHEREAS, a native of what was then Warwick County, Louise Allen graduated from George Washington Carver High School and earned a bachelor's degree from what was then Norfolk State College; and

WHEREAS, Louise Allen was a loyal alumna of her alma maters, serving on the alumni associations for both schools and the reunion committee for George Washington Carver High School; and

WHEREAS, Louise Allen imparted her passion for lifelong learning to countless students as an educator in Newport News Public Schools and Portsmouth Public Schools for more than 32 years; she was always teaching and was a mentor to her nieces and nephews, as well as other local youths; and

WHEREAS, a woman who lived her faith through her actions, Louise Allen enjoyed fellowship and worship with the community as a lifelong member of First Baptist Church East End in Newport News, where she was active in ministries and sang with the gospel choir; and

WHEREAS, Louise Allen will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by numerous family members, friends, and students whose lives she touched; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Louise Sadielane Perry Allen; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Louise Sadielane Perry Allen as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for her memory.
