HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 701
 Salaries, contingent and incidental expenses; per diem payment during Special Session II.

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Comptroller is directed to issue his warrants on the Treasurer, payable from the contingent fund of the House to accomplish the work of the House of Delegates during the 2018 Special Session II of the General Assembly. Necessary payments to cover salaries of temporary employees, as well as contingent and incidental expenses, will be certified by the Clerk or his designee; and, be it

RESOLVED FINALLY, That members of the House of Delegates shall receive session per diem for any day they attend a scheduled floor session at which an attendance roll call is taken. Session per diem shall not be allowed for legislative assistants. Session per diem shall not be allowed for members of the House of Delegates during a recess of the special session. However, members may receive compensation while the House of Delegates is in recess, as provided in §30-19.12 of the Code of Virginia and in the 2016-2018 Appropriation Act, as follows: (i) members of any standing committee; (ii) members of any committee of conference; or (iii) members of any legislative committee, commission, or council established by the General Assembly.
