SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 5017
Celebrating the life of Patricia Richardson.

WHEREAS, Patricia Richardson, a respected resident of Williamsburg who brought great joy to those around her with her warm heart and bright smile, died on March 19, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Patricia "Pat" Richardson grew up in a large and loving family alongside her five siblings and graduated from James Blair High School; and

WHEREAS, a capable and skilled executive secretary, Pat Richardson spent many years in Florida working for the president of the General Electric Air and Space Division before relocating back to the Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, Pat Richardson then joined the Virginia Real Estate Investment & Trust Company in Richmond as executive secretary and professionally handled an array of duties; and

WHEREAS, in her free time, Pat Richardson enjoyed the company of her family members and dear friends; she also loved animals and generously supported the Heritage Humane Society; and

WHEREAS, in all of her endeavors, Pat Richardson brightened the days of others with her gracious personality and thoughtful consideration; and

WHEREAS, Pat Richardson will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Phil; stepchildren, Whit, Sally, and Edward, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of a beloved citizen of Williamsburg, Patricia Richardson; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Patricia Richardson as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for her memory.
