SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 4027
Celebrating the life of Benjamin Joseph Lambert IV.

 

Agreed to by the Senate, July 9, 2019

 

WHEREAS, Benjamin Joseph Lambert IV, a respected financial advisor and a generous volunteer in Richmond, died on June 3, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Benjamin "Ben" Lambert graduated from Benedictine College Preparatory School and pursued higher education at Morehouse College; and

WHEREAS, over the course of his 25-year career as a financial advisor, Ben Lambert helped clients meet their financial goals by developing and implementing investment strategies; and

WHEREAS, Ben Lambert offered his wise leadership to many civic and service organizations, including as chair of the Richmond Public Schools Education Foundation, the Richmond Public Library Foundation, and the Saint Paul Catholic Church Finance Council; and

WHEREAS, Ben Lambert also served as a board member of Theatre IV, Richmond Ballet Advisory Committee, Richmond Boys Choir, and Team-Up Richmond, among others, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus; and

WHEREAS, an avid sports enthusiast, Ben Lambert enjoyed supporting his children and mentoring other local young people as a basketball and soccer coach; and

WHEREAS, Ben Lambert will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his devoted wife, Mary; his children, Melania and Benjamin V; his mother, Carolyn; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Benjamin Joseph Lambert IV; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Benjamin Joseph Lambert IV as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's respect for his memory.
