A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §17-2A-25, relating to requiring Department of Highways to make available a calendar of projects and related information for each district.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 2A. WEST VIRGINIA COMMISSIONER OF HIGHWAYS.


§17-2A-25. Commissioner shall post information concerning projects in each district.

In addition to all other powers granted and duties imposed upon the commissioner, he or she shall post information about projects currently planned or underway in each district. The posting shall include information as to where and when such work as ditching, mowing, patching or paving is being conducted, in order that the public may see the status of projects in areas, and whether there is delay of work due to weather or other causes.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require the Commissioner of Highways to post information to inform the public about projects planned or being completed in each district, and reasons for any delay of work on projects.
