HOUSE BILL 2324

 

 

An Act

 

amending title 13, chapter 29, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 13-2910.12; relating to animal fighting.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 13, chapter 29, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 13-2910.12, to read:

START_STATUTE13-2910.12. Presence of minor at animal fight or cockfight; classification

a. A PERSON who knowingly causes, allows or assists a minor to attend an animal fight or cockfight or to be present at any place or building where preparations are being made for an exhibition of animal fighting or cockfighting in violation of section 13-2910.01, 13-2910.02, 13-2910.03 or 13-2910.04 is guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor.

b. this section does not preclude the prosecution of the person for any offense based on any act not covered by this section. END_STATUTE

Sec. 2. Emergency

This act is an emergency measure that is necessary to preserve the public peace, health or safety and is operative immediately as provided by law.
