AN ACT

 

amending title 16, chapter 3, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-323; relating to nominating PROCEDURES.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 16, chapter 3, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-323, to read:

START_STATUTE16-323. Candidate nomination petitions; fee

Notwithstanding any other law, For any person who holds a statewide or legislative office and who submits a nomination paper for reelection to that same office, the person may pay a $250 fee to the office of the secretary of state for DEPOSIT in the state general fund and the person is not required to submit a nomination petition or signatures.
