amending title 32, chapter 18, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 32-1968.01; relating to the Arizona state board of pharmacy.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 32, chapter 18, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 32-1968.01, to read:

START_STATUTE32-1968.01. Prescription orders; requirements

If a person presents a valid prescription order to a pharmacist and the pharmacy has the prescription medication in stock, the pharmacist shall fill the prescription order. If the pharmacy does not have the prescription medication in stock, the pharmacist shall return the prescription order to the person who presented the prescription order or the patient or, on request, shall electronically transfer the prescription order to a pharmacy that is able to fill the prescription order.END_STATUTE
