SENATE BILL 1156

 

 

 

AN ACT

 

appropriating monies to the department of veterans' services.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriation; department of veterans' services; grants

The sum of $450,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2019‑2020 to the department of veterans' services to provide grants to contractors as defined in section 36-2901, Arizona Revised Statutes, who provide trauma treatment service training to any of the following health professionals:

1.  A physician who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 13 or 17, Arizona Revised Statutes.

2.  A registered nurse practitioner who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 15, Arizona Revised Statutes.

3.  A physician assistant who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 25, Arizona Revised Statutes.

4.  A psychologist who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 19.1, Arizona Revised Statutes.

5.  A behavioral health professional who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 33, Arizona Revised Statutes, and who is either:

(a)  Licensed for independent practice.

(b)  Supervised by a health professional who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 13 or 17, Arizona Revised Statutes, a psychologist who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 19.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, a registered nurse practitioner who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 15, Arizona Revised Statutes, or a behavioral health professional who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 33, Arizona Revised Statutes, for independent practice.
