AN ACT
amending title 13, chapter 38, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 13-3805; relating to the prevention of offenses.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 13, chapter 38, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 13-3805, to read:
13-3805. Prohibited inquiry of nationality or immigration status
Notwithstanding section 11-1051, A peace officer shall not ask a victim of or a witness to a criminal offense about that person's nationality or immigration status except as necessary to investigate the offense.
