AN ACT
appropriating monies to the superintendent of public instruction.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; superintendent of public instruction; teacher recruitment, retention and professional development
In addition to any other monies appropriated to the superintendent of public instruction for fiscal year 2017‑2018, the sum of $28,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2017‑2018 to the superintendent of public instruction. This amount is a one-time increase in the base level as defined in section 15-901, Arizona Revised Statutes, and shall be used for teacher recruitment, retention and professional development.
