An Act

 

amending title 16, chapter 4, article 5, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-463; relating to ballot numbering.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 16, chapter 4, article 5, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-463, to read:

START_STATUTE16-463. Ballot numbering; custody

All ballots prepared for the same election shall be numbered consecutively beginning with the numeral "1", and each ballot shall bear a unique number for that election. Ballots shall be accounted for in a chain of custody document or other form of log that shall begin when the ballot is printed and continue through posttabulation storage.END_STATUTE
