	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   ACR 27, Beth Gaines. Month of the Young Professional.
   This measure would proclaim the month of March 2015 as the Month
of the Young Professional.



   WHEREAS, California has the responsibility to recognize occasions
of outstanding significance; and
   WHEREAS, The country's most robust economies are driven by
metropolitan areas infused with flourishing young professionals; and
   WHEREAS, The attraction and retention of young professionals is
essential to the future competitiveness of the State of California,
its businesses, and its citizens; and
   WHEREAS, Young professionals play a significant role in the
economic viability of the State of California; and
   WHEREAS, Young professionals have partnered with business and
community leaders to promote and create a viable and livable place
for young professionals; and
   WHEREAS, Young professionals will convene the second annual Young
Professionals Summit on March 27, 2015; and
   WHEREAS, This summit will provide social, philanthropic,
professional, and civic development opportunities; and
   WHEREAS, The accomplishments of young professionals deserve
acknowledgment, affirmation, and celebration by the State of
California; now, therefore, be it
   Resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, the Senate
thereof concurring, That the Legislature hereby proclaims the month
of March 2015 as the Month of the Young Professional; and be it
further
   Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly transmit copies of
this resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.
