AN ACT CONCERNING RETIREMENT CREDIT FOR CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS ENGAGED IN TRAINING IN ACTIVE SERVICE IN THE ARMED FORCES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide that any member of Tier II of the state employees retirement system who was engaged in training in active service in the armed forces from September 1, 1968, to January 31, 1969, inclusive, shall receive retirement credit in Tier II of the state employees retirement system for such service.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow members of Tier II of the state employees retirement system, who were engaged in training in the armed forces during certain times of war, to obtain retirement credit for such period in training.
