AN ACT CONCERNING PRIORITY FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR THE SURVIVING SPOUSES OF CERTAIN VETERANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to provide that priority shall be given to the surviving spouses of service members killed in action in Southwest Asia during Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom until the earlier of the date five years after the date of the service member's death or the date the surviving spouse remarries.
Statement of Purpose:
To give priority for affordable housing to the surviving spouses of service members killed in Iraq or Afghanistan.
