AN ACT CONCERNING THE NOTIFICATION OF MEDIATION AND ARBITRATION DECISIONS IN LABOR DISPUTES BETWEEN BOARDS OF EDUCATION AND TEACHERS BARGAINING UNITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-153f of the general statutes be amended to require the local or regional board of education to submit a copy of the written decision of the arbitrators or the single arbitrator to the legislative body of the local or regional school district not later than five days after receipt of such decision by such board of education.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure the full disclosure of the mediation or arbitration decision by notifying the legislative body of the school district that a copy of the completed mediation and arbitration decision has been filed with the town.
