AN ACT CONCERNING UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAMS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to increase funding for two years to the Department of Education for grants to distribute to towns so that families may have universal access to school readiness programs.

Statement of Purpose:

To fund two years of optional early childhood education for Connecticut families.
