AN ACT INCORPORATING THE INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE INTO THE STATE BUILDING CODE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subsection (a) of section 29-252 of the general statutes be amended to require that the State Building Inspector and the Codes and Standards Committee revise the State Building Code to incorporate the International Property Maintenance Code, as adopted by the International Code Council.

Statement of Purpose:

To incorporate the International Property Maintenance Code into the State Building Code to establish minimum maintenance standards for basic equipment, light, ventilation, heating, sanitation and fire safety.
