AN ACT PROVIDING AN INCOME TAX EXEMPTION TO CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES AND VETERANS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to exempt from the state income tax at least ten, and up to twenty, per cent of income for (1) members of the armed forces and National Guard who served in foreign combat, and (2) honorably discharged veterans and members of the National Guard who served in foreign combat.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide an income tax exemption to certain members of the armed forces and veterans.
