AN ACT CONCERNING IN-STATE TUITION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 10a-29 of the general statutes be amended to allow the children of immigrants residing in the state and who have graduated from a public high school in the state to attend the public institutions of higher education as in-state students for tuition purposes.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase access to postsecondary education for immigrant children who reside in and have graduated from a public high school in Connecticut.
