AN ACT REQUIRING 9-1-1 CALLS TO BE ROUTED TO THE NEAREST PUBLIC SAFETY ANSWERING POINT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 518a of the general statutes be amended to require that a 9-1-1 call be routed to the nearest public safety answering point based on the geographical location from which the 9-1-1 call originated.
Statement of Purpose:
To require 9-1-1 calls be routed to the nearest public safety answering point.
