AN ACT CONCERNING INTERPRETERS FOR DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING PERSONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 46a-33a of the general statutes be amended to assess the efficacy and accessibility of interpreting services for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing and to determine the need for improvements in the delivery of such services.

Statement of Purpose:

To ensure that persons who are deaf and hard of hearing have access to adequate and effective interpreting services.
