AN ACT CONCERNING CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SUPERINTENDENTS OF SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-157 of the general statutes be amended to permit a candidate for certification as a superintendent of schools to substitute any three years at the employment classification of education consultant in a Connecticut state agency for any ten months of required full-time administrative or supervisory experience in public schools or as a managerial staff member in a state agency, up to a maximum of a nine-year substitution for thirty months of supervisory experience.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow candidates for certification as a superintendent of schools to substitute high level state service in lieu of local administrative service.
