AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR MUNICIPAL GRANTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 219 of the general statutes be amended to increase the sales and use tax by one per cent, and that the revenue raised thereby be used to maintain present levels of equalization aid grants and present levels of PILOT reimbursements for tax-exempt properties.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding for ECS grants and PILOT payments to municipalities.
