AN ACT PROHIBITING NEW UNFUNDED MUNICIPAL MANDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the General Assembly from passing any legislation that either expands or creates a mandate to municipalities unless such mandate is fully funded by the state.
Statement of Purpose:
To enact a statutory prohibition on unfunded municipal mandates.
