AN ACT ESTABLISHING A PILOT PROGRAM TO EXPAND CONNECTICUT-GROWN PRODUCTS IN SCHOOL FOOD PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a pilot program that will expand the Connecticut Grown program and the farm to schools program in order to provide for the use of local food processing to increase the rate of locally grown food products in school food programs.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase local food processing and the availability of Connecticut-grown food products in school food programs.
