AN ACT REDUCING BURDENS ON RESIDENTIAL CARE HOMES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to (1) prohibit the use of extrapolation in residential care home audits, (2) limit the audit period to three years, (3) promote the use of desk reviews rather than audits, (4) require the Department of Social Services to work with residential care homes to simplify and modernize costs reports, (5) ensure adequate fair rent, and (6) require the Department of Public Health to administer a recertification course for medication administration.
Statement of Purpose:
To ease current and costly administrative burdens placed on residential care homes.
