AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE PERMITTING PROCESS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES IN LIVERY SERVICE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the Department of Transportation conduct a study of the current permitting process pursuant to section 13b-103 of the general statutes, evaluating the regulatory interest in such process, and reporting to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to transportation by January 1, 2016, with recommendations of how such process may be improved and with recommendations for statutory changes.

Statement of Purpose:

To encourage greater competition in the livery services industry.
