AN ACT REDEFINING TERMS CONCERNING THE SPENDING CAP.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 2-33a of the general statutes be amended to redefine "increase in personal income" to mean the increase in personal income for Connecticut residents as calculated by the United States Department of Commerce; to redefine "increase in inflation" to mean the increase in the consumer price index for the preceding twelve-month period, according to the United States Department of Labor; and to redefine "general budget expenditures" to mean all expenditures from all appropriated funds.
Statement of Purpose:
To redefine terms required to fully implement the constitutional spending cap.
