AN ACT ALLOWING ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSES TO PRACTICE INDEPENDENTLY UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF AN EXPERIENCED ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 20 of the general statutes be amended to allow an advanced practice registered nurse to practice independently under the supervision of an experienced advanced practice registered nurse rather than requiring supervision by a physician.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow new advanced practice registered nurses to collaborate with experienced advanced practice registered nurses.
