AN ACT CONCERNING THE ADDITION OF A COURSE ON MORTGAGE LENDING AND PERSONAL DEBT TO THE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 10-16b and 10-221a of the general statutes be amended to include a course on the basics of home mortgage lending and personal debt as part of the public school curriculum and high school graduation requirements.
Statement of Purpose:
To educate students of the state about the use of credit, excessive debt and the home mortgage lending process.
