AN ACT CONCERNING THE LOAN OF TEXTBOOKS TO NONPUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the sum of three million dollars be appropriated to the State Department of Education, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011, for purposes of providing funding for the loaning of textbooks, pursuant to section 10-228a of the general statutes, to students that are residents of Connecticut and attending nonpublic schools.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding for the loaning of textbooks to Connecticut students attending nonpublic schools.
