AN ACT REQUIRING THE IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR'S LICENSE FOR CERTAIN SPEEDING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 14-219 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall immediately suspend for three days the motor vehicle operator's license of any person who operates a motor vehicle upon any highway or road in this state at a rate of speed greater than one hundred miles per hour.

Statement of Purpose:

To immediately suspend a motor vehicle operator's license for three days when an operator drives over one hundred miles per hour upon any highway or road in this state.
