AN ACT REQUIRING ELECTRONIC MONITORING IN FAMILY VIOLENCE CASES FOR PERSONS CONVICTED OF VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 46b-38c of the general statutes be amended to provide continuous electronic monitoring of all persons in family violence cases who are found guilty of criminal violation of a protective order, criminal violation of a standing criminal protective order or criminal violation of a restraining order.

Statement of Purpose:

To require electronic monitoring in family violence cases when a person is found guilty of violating an order of protection.
