AN ACT CONCERNING PHYSICIAN-ASSISTED SUICIDE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to permit a competent person who is suffering from a terminal illness to take his or her life through the self-administration of prescribed medication.

Statement of Purpose:

To permit a competent person who is suffering from a terminal illness to take his or her life through the self-administration of prescribed medication.
