AN ACT CONCERNING ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS FOR LOW-INCOME CUSTOMERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 16 of the general statutes be amended to expand existing state energy assistance programs to electric and gas ratepayers who earn less than sixty per cent of the state's median income.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide low-income customers with energy assistance programs.
