AN ACT REQUIRING MARKETING CONTRACTS INVOLVING PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION TO BE SUBJECT TO DISCLOSURE UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require that any contract relating to a public institution of higher education becoming a marketing partner with an entity that is a party to such contract, whether or not such institution of higher education is a party to such contract, be subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase the public trust.
