AN ACT CONCERNING AGGREGATE LIMITS ON POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS BY INDIVIDUALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-611 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the thirty-thousand-dollar aggregate limit on political contributions by individuals for any single election or primary preliminary to such election.
Statement of Purpose:
To bring Connecticut campaign finance law into compliance with the United States Supreme Court's 2014 decision in McCutcheon et al. v. Federal Election Commission.
