AN ACT PERMITTING CERTAIN TEACHERS TO CONDUCT TEACHER PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-151b of the general statutes be amended to authorize superintendents of schools for a local or regional board of education to allow teachers who hold a professional educator certificate and who have been employed by such board of education for at least ten years to conduct teacher performance evaluations.
Statement of Purpose:
To ease the burden on school administrators by allowing senior teachers to evaluate their peers.
