AN ACT CONCERNING MANSLAUGHTER CHARGES AGAINST PERSONS CHARGED WITH SELLING ILLEGAL DRUGS THAT LEAD TO FATAL OVERDOSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to provide that a person selling an illegal drug that leads to a fatal overdose shall be charged with manslaughter.
Statement of Purpose:
To require drug dealers selling an illegal drug that leads to a fatal overdose be charged with manslaughter.
