AN ACT CONCERNING THE CLASSIFICATION OF SIGN LANGUAGE IN THE EDUCATION CURRICULUM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-16b of the general statutes be amended to change the classification of American sign language from language arts to a foreign language.
Statement of Purpose:
To classify American sign language as a foreign language for purposes of the prescribed education curriculum.
