AN ACT CONCERNING UNFUNDED MANDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to sunset all unfunded mandates and to require a two-thirds vote of the members of each chamber of the General Assembly to pass such mandates in the future.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide property tax relief to municipalities by eliminating and restricting unfunded state mandates.
