RESOLUTION
Commending
Leadership Emanuel participant Belinda E. Lawrence; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Belinda E. Lawrence has fully and faithfully participated in Leadership Emanuel
2009, a local program applying the dynamic principles of the Community
Leadership Program developed by the Fanning Institute for Leadership;
and
WHEREAS,
Leadership Emanuel selects potential leaders in the county and provides a
rigorous and challenging educational program designed to equip them to be
outstanding future leaders of Georgia and Emanuel County; and
WHEREAS,
Leadership Emanuel recognizes demonstrated and potential leadership, where
selection alone stands as a testament to the promising character of its gifted
participants, people who seize the opportunity to better themselves and,
ultimately, their community; and
WHEREAS,
participation in Leadership Emanuel allows for the development of skills needed
to address the most pressing local challenges through a curriculum focused on
five core modules which afford skill based training in understanding leadership,
effective communication, group decision making, collaboration, and leading
change; and
WHEREAS,
participants in the Leadership Emanuel have shown great commitment to their
community and their futures through their dedicated work in mastering the art of
effective leadership.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Belinda E. Lawrence for exemplary performance and energetic
participation in Leadership Emanuel 2009.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Belinda E.
Lawrence.
