RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Peachtree Ridge High School on its designation as a 2009 Georgia
School of Excellence; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Peachtree Ridge High School has been selected as a 2009 Georgia School of
Excellence by the Department of Education and stands as one of only 27 schools
in this state to receive this prestigious honor; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative high school has maintained a proud tradition of excellence in
education through the outstanding efforts of the dedicated and hard-working
administration, faculty, and staff and the bright, focused, and determined
students; and
WHEREAS,
by creating a safe and respectful learning environment, Peachtree Ridge High
enables students to learn with confidence, experience success, and achieve their
maximum potential; and
WHEREAS,
the teachers, administration, and staff of Peachtree Ridge High work diligently
and conscientiously to ensure students have access to the training and resources
necessary to succeed and foster positive relationships and mutual respect;
and
WHEREAS,
by its example, Peachtree Ridge High has set a standard of achievement and a
model of excellence and success for other schools to emulate; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia takes great pride in the diligent study and preparation
taken by the students of Peachtree Ridge High and looks forward in anticipation
to the great achievements this school will accomplish in the
future.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize Peachtree Ridge High School on its selection as a 2009
Georgia School of Excellence and commend its outstanding dedication and
commitment to excellence in education.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Peachtree
Ridge High School Principal Kevin Tashlein.
