A
RESOLUTION
Commending
and congratulating the Georgia State University College of Law Moot Court Team;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
on April 10, 2010, the Georgia State University College of Law Moot Court Team
won the 25th annual Dean Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Competition at Brooklyn
Law School in New York; and
WHEREAS,
the team consisted of Coach Shane Peagler, Assistant Coach Casey Viggiano, and
Competitors Kevin Bradberry and Matthew Ramsey who was awarded "Best Oralist" in
the final round; and
WHEREAS,
the judges in this elite competition included United States Supreme Court
Justice Samuel Alito, Jr., who judged the final round and awarded the national
title to the Georgia State team; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding achievement, in which the team triumphed over more than 36
competitor law school teams from throughout the country, reflects great credit
on the team coaches and competitors, the Georgia State University College of
Law, and the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
it is fitting and proper that appropriate recognition be given to these superb
students and competitors.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body do hereby commend and congratulate the Georgia State University
College of Law Moot Court Team for winning the 25th annual Dean Jerome Prince
Memorial Evidence Competition.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to the above
named coaches and competitors and to their faculty advisor, Professor Patrick
Wiseman.
