RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending South Gwinnett High School's Mr. Junior South 2010 Richard
Shankle; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Richard Shankle has shown by the example of his academic accomplishments and
extracurricular involvement that the pursuit and attainment of excellence are
within the reach of the students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
Richard recently earned the prestigious title of Mr. Junior South 2010 at South
Gwinnett High School; and
WHEREAS,
a junior at South Gwinnett High School, Richard is the son of Anita and Lewis
Shankle; and
WHEREAS,
an active volunteer at his church, Richard plans to attend college, where he
will play football and study to become physical therapist; and
WHEREAS,
this amazing student enjoys playing football, running track, and listening to
his favorite musician, Usher; and
WHEREAS,
by his many achievements and confidence, Richard has brought credit to his
parents, his community, his school, and this state; and
WHEREAS,
all Georgians are proud of young men who, like Richard, represent the very best
that this state has to offer; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks forward with great anticipation to the promising and
bright future of this remarkable young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate Richard Shankle on being named Mr. Junior South 2010 and
extend to him best wishes for his near and distant future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Junior
South 2010 Richard Shankle.
