A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO PUBLIC HOUSING.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


PART I

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 356D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§356D-     Resident managers.  The authority shall designate an onsite resident manager at each public housing complex and state low-income public housing project.  The authority shall determine the criteria for selecting resident managers at each public housing complex and state low-income public housing project.  Resident managers designated pursuant to this section shall not be considered employees of the State."

PART II

     SECTION 2.  There are established four full-time equivalent (4.00 FTE) permanent certified public accountant positions in the Hawaii public housing authority, which shall be appointed by the executive director of the Hawaii public housing authority without regard to chapter 76, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to assist the authority in documenting the financial information of the authority.

PART III

     SECTION 3.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
