A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE TWENTY-FIFTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2011-2012:

     1.   To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

     A.   Lincoln elementary school, Oahu

          Plans, design, and construction to complete upgrade of    air conditioning (buildings A, B, D and E).

          Plans and design                            $500,000

          Construction                              $6,000,000

          Total funding                             $6,500,000

     B.   R.L. Stevenson middle school, Oahu

          Plans and design for initial plan and design

          phase of Stevenson middle school master plan.

          Plans                                       $225,000 Design          $225,000

          Total funding                               $450,000

     C.   R.L. Stevenson middle school, Oahu

          Funds for building A, multi-purpose science

          learning center.

          Total funding                             $7,200,000

     D.   R.L. Stevenson middle school, Oahu

          Funds for multi-purpose recreational facility.

          Total funding                             $1,500,000

     E.   Roosevelt high school, Oahu

          Funds for development of master plan, including planning and design to re-survey land and address current and future conditions.  Plans to include     construction of a new gym, multi-level parking structure, and renovations to current band room.

          Total funding                               $250,000

     F.   Roosevelt high school, Oahu

          Plans, design, and construction for the renovation and/or expansion of the gym.

          Plans, design, and construction for the renovation/expansion of the bandroom.

     Electrical upgrades to PH 1 F.              $250,000

O.   Papakolea community development corporation

     Improvements to park grounds.

     Parking lots (including trenching and paving) $15,000

     Gutters (covered court)                      $15,500

     Park benches                                  $5,000

     Q.   Queen Kaahumanu elementary school, Oahu

          Funds to convert bathroom in the back room for ADA accessibility.

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.


     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2011.
