A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACCESS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH PRINT DISABILITIES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
The purpose of this Act is to appropriate funds to the public utilities commission to provide free telecommunications access to certain information for persons with a print disability.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2023-2024 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2024-2025 to provide free telecommunications access to certain information for persons with a print disability.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the public utilities commission for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 3000.
