A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to financial disclosure.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Chapter 26, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§26-    Advice and consent; financial disclosure.  (a)  Any person nominated and, by and with the advice and consent of the senate, appointed by the governor shall submit a financial disclosure statement to the governor and the senate president as part of the advice and consent procedures of the senate.

     (b)  The information on the financial disclosure statement shall be subject to the provisions of section 84-17, and shall be confidential, except as provided in section 84-17(d)."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2012.
